Hunters Expedition Menu - Kutir
The elegant Chelsea townhouse restaurant - just off Sloane Square - has launched a five-course Hunters Expedition Menu. The autumnal menu includes glorious British game dishes from critically acclaimed Chef Rohit Ghai (the first Indian Chef to win a Michelin star - at Jamavar - in under a year). The game tasting menu (priced at £60 per person) features the best British seasonal ingredients of partridge, quail, pheasant and partridge, served with an Indian twist with dishes such as quail naan with truffle and masala scrambled egg and slow cooked venison with green peppercorn and fennel. Available until the of January.
Truffle Tasting Menu - Kitchen W8
Kitchen W8 is celebrating a decade of Michelin stardom this year. And to celebrate Head Chef, Mark Kempson is overseeing a series of special tasting menus. Alongside a suitably glorious six-course Game Menu, Kempson is also honoring the truffle in all its guises with a four-course Truffle Tasting Menu. Available from 17 to 28 November - the menu (£120) features dishes such as Cheese on Toast - an aged beef fat and cep brioche with melting Tunworth, Wiltshire autumn truffle and walnut ketchup and a Truffle Bolognese - roasted fillet of veal with wild mushroom Bolognese, hand rolled macaroni and Périgord truffle.
The Cheese Toastie Takeover - The Wigmore
The Wigmore’s signature XXL Stovetop 3 Cheese & Mustard Toastie has been a firm favourite on the menu ever since the pub first opened. In honour, Michel Roux Jr has launched a guest chef toastie series, offering inspired takes on this ultimate comfort food throughout the autumn and winter months - with chefs including Cyrus Todiwala OBE of Mr Todiwala and Café Spice Namasté and Anna Haugh chef-proprietor at restaurant Myrtle. Each guest chef toastie will be available for a month, alongside The Wigmore’s signature XXL creation. £1 from each toastie sold will be donated to the mental health charity, CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
Noci - Mortimer House
Previously at the helm of London Bridge's Tavolino and Covent Garden's Bancone, Louis Korovilas is an alumnus of Giorgio Locatelli and has earned a reputation as one of our city's finest masters of pasta. Ahead of the opening of his own restaurant, Noci in Islington - Korovilas brings his famously rich ragus to Mortimer House for a short residency as part of their Mortimer House Chef Series - 24 to 27 November. Dine on dishes such as squid and mussel fritto misto with bagna cauda and nori; chopped burrata with delica pumpkin, sage, brown butter and amaretti and scallop pappardelle with friarelli and pancetta. Tuna Fight Club - Notting Hill Fish Shop
The independent grocers - which has reached cult status with in-store DJ sets by iconic club DJ and music producer Fat Tony, is now offering an incredible tuna cutting ceremony every Wednesday. The tuna cutting and tasting experience is overseen by veteran sushi chefs Juan Cardona (formerly of Endo at the Rotunda) and Kurisu Omakase’s Chris Restrepo - who carve up the ethically farmed tuna. The unforgettable 'sushi smackdown' also features a 12-course tuna Omakase tasting with courses served freshly off the bone alongside plates of succulent sushi. Priced at £120 per person.
