A private island of sorts, it stands in the Solent, 1.4 miles from the Isle of Wight, and features 22 bedrooms, two helipads, spa and games facilities (including laser quest) and even boasts its own nightclub.
No Man's Fort is one of three historic fortresses (all are available for hire) in the Solent (just a 10 minute boat trip from Portsmouth), which also played a strategic role in the defence of the English Channel during WW1. These forts were known as Palmerston’s Follies as by the time they were completed, the threat from the French had passed. Eventually decommissioned during the 1950s before being restored in association with English Heritage and hospitality company Clarenco.
