Kono by Atsushi 'ATS' Kono

A debut restaurant from acclaimed Japanese yakitori chef Atsushi 'ATS' Kono.

After nearly two decades of honing his skills in Japan, and then in New York as the Executive Chef of the Michelin-starred Yakitori Torishin and also at Chikarashi Isso pop-up at Hotel 50 Bowery - Kono has opened a namesake restaurant - set within Bowery's Canal Arcade, a passageway that connects Bowery to Elizabeth Street.

Dine at a 14-seat chef's counter to enjoy a multi-course kappo-style yakitori omakase menu - rooted in tradition and seasonality. Expect a seasonal, 16-course ($165) kappo-style dinner with dishes such as a rice cracker sandwich appetizer packed with chicken pate, black truffle, and a gold leaf garnish and mizutaki udon noodles in chicken broth with green onion.

The sleek and dramatic dining room has been designed to transport you to Japan - blending traditional Japanese elements with modern touches representing New York's dining culture. In addition to the 14 bar seats, there’s also a semi-private alcove for larger groups of four to six.
