20 Berkeley

A stunning British produce-led restaurant just off Mayfair's Berkeley Street.

The 120-seat restaurant and bar is billed as “a true celebration of artisans and the most exceptional produce available from the British Isles”. Operated by The Creative Restaurant Group, 20 Berkeley follows the success of wood fired cooking restaurant Humo which opened just down the road on St George Street.

Designed by interior designers Pirajean Lees, the Georgian-era aesthetic and space (on the corner of Berkeley Street and Hay Hill) is reminiscent of an English mansion. There are four different areas on the site: The Pantry, Drawing Room, Orangery and The Nipperkin Bar. Executive Chef Ben Orpwood, who was most recently Executive Chef at Maison Estelle - oversees the menus, which changes seasonally in order to "showcase the freshest and most exceptional ingredients from all four corners of the British Isles”.

Situated on the lower-ground level, the Nipperkin Bar offers a discreet hideaway for expertly mixed cocktails and drinks, enjoyed around a centralised table. There's also a degustation menu of in-house distilled spirits.

Black pudding agnolotti with cauliflower & wild garlic velouté; dressed Portland bill crab with apple & foraged sea herbs; Coronation chicken pie with kohlrabi remoulade & mango piccalilli; braised Herdwick lamb shoulder with pommes mousseline and Baron Bigod cheese stuffed with last winters truffles, served with port jelly & crumpets.
