Coin de Rue 13ème Pop-up Bistro

It’s a moveable feast as chef David Feau brings his finely crafted French dishes to Chinatown, adopting Asian flavors, in a cross-cultural culinary mix.

Coming off a successful three-week pop-up in Beverly Hills, executive chef David Feau is on the move: his latest culinary exploration is an Asian-influenced brasserie that will land in Chinatown for three next three weekends (and Thursdays too).

Inspired by Paris’ predominantly Chinese 13th arrondissement, dishes will blend East-West, as Asian and traditional French ingredients combine on the plate. For instance: the seared duck foie gras is served with a forbidden rice lettuce roll, toasted shallots and lacquered duck sauce; there’s a claw pot baked Alaskan halibut and the innovative, rice flour cheese ravioli. Cocktails are from The Raymond and Bar 1886’s talented mixologist Garrett McKechnie. Choices include the three-course prix fixe menu, bar bites and supplemental dishes.

Coin de Rue 13ème will be open April 16-18, April 23-25 and April 30-May 1. Drop in for bar bites and cocktails from 5 to 7 p.m. The first dinner seating is at 7:00 p.m. and final seating is at 10:30 p.m. (Dinner reservations essential). Part of the fun is the off-beat, Chinatown location: the ambitious pop-up will be housed in Michael J’s Pizzeria & Bar.
