We've all see Madonna do it, though not between forward bends, back bends, and stretching. Voga is the brainchild of Juliet Murrel, a fashion and film-set designer turned yoga instructor, who wanted to bring together her love of yoga and its health benefits with the feel good factor and flamboyance of Voguing.
In homage to the eighties dance craze that evolved out of the Harlem ballroom scene - and was made famous by Madonna - Voga follows a yoga-style flow sequence of poses and counter-postures with names such as 'the sphinx' or 'the Vogue Express' all to an 80s soundtrack giving it the cardio workout of a dance class.
Called "London's latest fittest craze" by Vogue no less, the House of Voga has traveled to Istanbul, Paris and Ibiza, now landing in New York. Classes will be held on the rooftop of Soho House at 8am on the 15th and 17th of June for a sunrise blitz. Leotards and leg warmers optional.
Fun fitness, focus, and feeling empowered.
