A champagne coupe moulded from British supermodel Kate Moss’s breast makes for a rather unusual new collaboration.

To celebrate the supermodel’s 25 years working in the fashion industry, the Mayfair restaurant 34 has modelled (and immortalized) a champagne coupe on Moss’s left breast.

Legend has it that the first champagne coupe that was made in the 18th century was modelled on Marie Antoinette’s left breast, which provided the inspiration for British artist Jane McAdam Freud’s (daughter of Lucien) modern interpretation. However, this is not the first reinterpretation – in 2008 Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld collaborated with Dom Pérignon on a coupe inspired by his muse, Claudia Schiffer.

Described as an “intricate abstract design reminiscent of Art Deco symmetry which, when held at an angle, shows a beautiful curvy shape”, the coupe (pictured) also bears the model’s signature accompanied by a small heart on the base.

Kate Moss will host the inauguration of the glasses herself at the London restaurant in early October. Patrons who order Dom Perignon’s latest vintage, P2-1998 at 34 and sister London establishments The Ivy, Daphne’s, Scott’s and The Club at The Ivy, will be able to drink from the glasses from 9 October.
