The Hoxton Amsterdam

The Hoxton, Amsterdam is the group's first property outside London.

Made up of a series of five canal houses overlooking both the Herengracht and Singel canals the property has a fascinating history, dating from the early 17th Century. Formally a residential town house which was home to the Mayor of Amsterdam, the site became home to the historic Rembrandt Classic hotel (which opened in 1975) and is the third boutique in trendy Hoxton portfolio - joining The Hoxton Holborn (pictured) and the original Hoxton Shoreditch (opened in 2006) -  which was once described as "a Holiday Inn on steroids".

The Hoxton Amsterdam features 111 guestrooms across five floors and designed by local local interior stylists Nicemakers. Features include free wifi and one hour of free global telephone calls and many of the guestrooms benefit from canal views. A restaurant, Lotti's serves up Italian-inspired food and is run in partnership with Soho House Group, while a mezzanine bar in the lobby serves coffee and cocktails.

The 'no bull shit...and no rip-off' Hoxton hotel group is also to open (in 2018) its third London property - a 192-bedroom hotel on Blackfriars Road, Southwark in partnership with developer Derwent London. The Soho House Group will operate a ground floor restaurant and a top floor bar. The Hoxton Grill at the Hoxton Shoreditch and Chicken Shop and Hubbard & Bell at Hoxton Holborn are also run by Soho House. Further hotels are scheduled to open in Paris and Williamsburg (New York) in the next two years.
