MiniBar Hollywood

Close to all of Hollywood’s wild nightlife, MiniBar aims to mix up L.A.’s cocktail scene, offering a chic alternative.

Bigger is not always better. When one seeks out an intimate space for conversation and sharp cocktails, Hollywood’s choices are limited. Enter the 32-seat MiniBar, a new concept from restaurateurs Brandon Boudet and Warner Ebbink (Little Dom’s, Dominick’s) and sommelier Jeremy Allen. Forgoing cover charges and drink minimums, but not comfort or style, the sleek hideaway recalls a 1970s lounge but with an of-the-moment soundtrack.

Each cocktail is expertly crafted but not too over-the-top: the Melvin is MiniBar’s refreshing take on a Manhattan. Made with 101 Rye and a specialty Vermouth, the Melvin joins the Bernard, the Godfather 101 (whisky, rum and amaretto) and this Old House plus five other choices—MiniBar’s list is short and sweet. Wine and beer by the bottle and draft are available too. Settle into a red leather banquette for a drink or the night.
