One of New York's many outdoor summer screenings, Bryant Park's film festival - presented by Bank of America - is iconic. Set amidst the park's lush greenery, this years' films include favorites such as Farris Bueller's Day Off, Top Gun and The Big Chill. Running for 10 weeks this summer, this is one outdoor cinema experience you don't want to miss.
Kicking off at sunset, convene on the grass from 4pm; you'll need to get there early for a good spot. Be advised: while it's nice to have a picnic blanket to sit on, plastic sheets, tarps, or chairs are not allowed. Obviously, the films don't start until its dark enough - generally around 9pm - so pack an epic picnic and have the best blanket party on the lawn. There are generally vendors on hand as well if you feel like packing light, however remember the masses may have similar ideas.
