Orrery's rooftop terrace in Marylebone is one of London's best kept secrets and now even better following a recent refurbishment and the installation of stylish new B&B Italia furniture. Elegantly lined with delicate lavender bushes and olive trees, with views overlooking St. Marylebone church gardens, this quaint Provençal garden terrace offers a tailored alfresco menu (of classic French dishes) and an extensive wine list. Tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
March saw the launch of The Ivy Kensington Brasserie’s outdoor terrace situated behind the restaurant and accessible via Kensington Church Walk. Secret Garden at The South Place Hotel
Tucked away on the first floor of the South Place Hotel is a veritable oasis of slate waterfalls and palm trees. The Secret Garden is an outdoor & indoor bar sheltered from the elements and the stress of the city by a retractable roof. The unique venue is decorated with a sixty-foot sculpture running the height of the interior wall, a variety or bamboo and a modest tropical theme employs a series of indoor heaters maintain a custom created tropical climate all year round.
