A Firmdale hotel, housed in a Mid-Victorian stucco, terraced townhouse in South Kensington that features a beautiful tree-filled garden which is accessed through the conservatory. The redesigned pretty patio garden reopened in 2015, and is the perfect setting for bistro-dining, drinking, relaxing or entertaining friends - especially over afternoon tea.

Orrery's

Orrery's rooftop terrace in Marylebone is one of London's best kept secrets and now even better following a recent refurbishment and the installation of stylish new B&B Italia furniture. Elegantly lined with delicate lavender bushes and olive trees, with views overlooking St. Marylebone church gardens, this quaint Provençal garden terrace offers a tailored alfresco menu (of classic French dishes) and an extensive wine list. Tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Ivy Kensington Brasserie

March saw the launch of The Ivy Kensington Brasserie’s outdoor terrace situated behind the restaurant and accessible via Kensington Church Walk. The intimate hidden terrace (with a retractable roof) allows for a garden dining experience in a secluded leafy, British in design, setting – with the full restaurant menu and drinks list available. Open daily until 10pm.

Dalloway Terrace

This indoor-outdoor, all-day dining destination is located just off Great Russell Street in The Bloomsbury hotel. Open throughout the year, it offers the peace and charm of a secluded secret garden and a perfect alfresco hideaway. A quintessentially English space and open for light breakfasts followed by brunch and an all-day seasonal dining menu.

Angler Terrace

A petite Provence in the City of London, sunset has never been so superb. Amidst a Michelin-starred seafood restaurant Angler (headed by Executive Chef Tony Fleming) is a French-chic space that channels the essence of Provence, in look and cuisine. It's West-facing to optimise the evening sun and there's insurance against the London weather with a retractable roof and heating. But when the weather is fine, enjoy fine French fare á la carte amongst olive trees and lavender rows. U can't go wrong!

Blakes

Blakes Courtyard, it is the perfect tranquil retreat for privacy and comfort while enjoying breakfast, lunch or even an early evening cocktail. This horticultural oasis has been designed by fashion designer Matthew Williamson and installation artist Rebecca Louise Law and it's full of tropical prints, hot pink feathers and Hendrick's gin cocktails. The newly added conservatories fitted with stylish, yet comfortable furnishings and surrounded by a myriad of Bay trees and Buxos, are designed to keep you cool during the sizzling months of summer and warmed up during the winter months for year-round use. 

Secret Garden at The South Place Hotel

Tucked away on the first floor of the South Place Hotel is a veritable oasis of slate waterfalls and palm trees. The Secret Garden is an outdoor & indoor bar sheltered from the elements and the stress of the city by a retractable roof. The unique venue is decorated with a sixty-foot sculpture running the height of the interior wall, a variety or bamboo and a modest tropical theme employs a series of indoor heaters maintain a custom created tropical climate all year round.
