The CMJ Music Marathon has been going strong for 34 years now, presenting the best of new artists to the world. Packed with industry figures, music stars, and free parties, it’s basically New York’s take on SXSW, featuring the music we’ll all be talking about next.
This year's highlights include Baby Shakes, Glass Animals, and Phoebe Ryan, as well as bigger names such as the Joy Formidable and Kate Nash, playing at venues from Terminal 5 and Webster Hall to Pete’s Candy Store or Lit Lounge. There is also an impressive daytime program of tech talks and showcases featuring Microsoft, IBM Watson and exclusive YouTube workshops. A full festival badge costs $399 for access to all shows, or tickets can be bought per performance.
Discovering new music and finding the next big thing.
