Quality Eats

The Quality Meats guys already nailed it satisfying all of our upmarket steakhouse needs, and now they’ve given us a West Village meat-centric neighborhood date spot to boot.

Coming from Michael Stillman and the Fourth Wall group (Smith & Wollensky), this is their casual and affordable option with a focus on lesser-known cuts of meat. From the $19 bavette steak to the $29 ’Don Ameche’ filet mignon and the spread of excellent sides with the likes of kambocha squash hummus and scalloped sunchokes, chef Ryan Bartlow (Frankie's, Alinea) has delivered a playful take on the classic steakhouse.

Bryan Schneider of Clover Club fame is doing the drinks, with interesting moments in the habanero cubes and nitro’d espresso. Designed by Reunion Goods and Services, the space fits the vibe with bare white-washed brick, graphic art, and vintage wooden furniture. Another solid West Village option.
