Petersham Nurseries Café is an award winning restaurant (and teahouse) based at the eponymous garden centre and nursey in Richmond. The rustic-style garden café seats diners in a idyllic greenhouse setting - serving Mediterranean and Middle Eastern themed dishes with seasonal ingredients such as saffron risotto and scallops and Moroccan bistayeea duck pie.
The famed Ritz's Garden Bar & Champagne Terrace is open for the summer season (from 1st of May) for lunch daily (weather permitting) - dine on Executive Head Chef John Williams, MBE cuisine and the exceptional service for which The Ritz London is renowned, whilst gazing over billowing blooms to the stunning Royal Green Park. This secluded terrace (ideal any time of the day, including afternoon tea) features a beautiful Italian mosaic floor, vibrant floral boxes and vast parasols - making it a stylish and sophisticated sanctuary. Guests are accommodated on a first come, first served basis.
Babylon Kensington Roof Garden
High above Kensington High Street are The Roof Gardens, a private members club that boasts 1.5 acres of glamorous gardens. On top of the members bar area, you can book the VIP rooms for special events, The Spanish Hideaway (based on the Alhambra Castle in Granada) is a stunning indoor/outdoor space that fits 40 guests, or The Moo Room offers a more casual atmosphere (and it's close to the dance floor). It's open Friday and Saturday nights 10pm- 3am, and has events, BBQs & top DJs.
As the name suggests, the Sky Garden offers stunning views of London sitting 155 metres above ground level, complete with greenery, and it houses the Darwin Brasserie, Fenchurch Restaurant and the Sky Pod Bar. The bar has a range of cocktails, the Brasserie is laid back yet luxury dining, while the Restaurant offers a happy medium with fine British food and an excellent wine and cocktail list, plus private dining space (for up to 16 guests) the Viñoly Room.
The Ivy concept has been re-imagined as a conservatory, complete with antique mirrors and botanical prints - hidden behind a grade II listed mock Tudor building on the King's Road. Head outside to the extensive garden, which comes complete with a terrace and orangery. It's open all day for a British-led international menu that ranges from truffled eggs for breakfast to afternoon cream teas via "cosy but sophisticated classics" including crispy duck salad, fishcakes and the signature shepherd's pie.
