Beloved West Village bar, Employees Only, is taking their award-winning formula on a global adventure. Originally started in 2004 by a group of veteran bartenders, they created a bar and diner which made guests feel like they were part of a special club, a place where off duty hospitality professionals could let loose and have the best party ever, complete with top level drinks and delicious food served into the wee hours of the night.
After over a decade of keeping New Yorkers properly fed and boozed, they are expanding to a global scale with three locations set to open by the end of the year, each spearheaded by a different partner. The first will be in Singapore, where founder Igor Hadzismajlovic and principle bartender Steve Schneider will be building a similar designed Art-Deco bar and training a new team in the art of the New York location. Hot on the heels of Singapore will be a Miami Beach location followed by another site in Austin, Texas.
Their signature drinks - modern classics and new inventions - plus their traditional menu of dishes like steak tartare, caviar, and oysters, will be coming along for the ride. Their special 3:30am treat of free chicken soup to the last people standing will also be offered at the new global locations.
Taking a bit of NYC Charm on the road.
