Eleven Madison Park

After nearly half a decade of theatrical jaw-droppers, the classically Michelin starred restaurant switched to a more simplistic approach.

Eleven Madison Park has long been one of the leaders and game changers in the New York Dining scene. Their 2012 menu, themed with the best stories of what makes New York great, was filled with theatrics and story telling, pulling diners into a marathon of courses changes our expectations for what a restaurant could deliver. After nearly 5 years, pulling in 3 Michelin stars and 4 from the New York Times, chef Daniel Humm, and his business partner, Will Guidara, have changed things up, releasing a menu that once again keeps us on our toes.

Instead of trying to build on their already perfect platform, the EMP crew went entirely the other direction to focus on simplicity, allowing the seasonally fresh ingredients to really shine. Almost monochrome, this menu is filled with bold flavors and paired back presentations which is served in a much more familiar style, creating an atmosphere as comfortable as it is still refined. They've dialed back the amount of courses as well, choosing the less is more path to allow more attention to be spared for the individual dishes along the way.

The meal consists of around 7-9 courses which costs $295, inclusive of gratuity.
