Leonardo Pereira at Carousel

Ex-Noma chef takes residency in Marylebone's Carousel throughout May....

After five years working under René Redzepi at Noma, Leonardo Pereira is branching out on his own - starting with some kitchen residencies around Europe. Carousel, which has an ever-rotating list of resident chefs, hosts Pereira as part of his London leg (after Lyle's in April). At this residency expect finely crafted dishes including octopus toast with tempeh, bacalao (salted cod), avocado and pickled orange blossom, broad beans and coastal herbs, eel with black garlic, and butter tartlets - all regional Portugese specialties.

Pereira is set to open a permanent venue in Portugal later this year once his global tour is finished. He was raised in Santa Maria da Feira (South of Porto) where he learnt about growing fresh produce, which he combines with skills learnt in many kitchens around Europe (Spain, Sweden, Ireland and of course Copenhagen). For this experience, doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 sitting, and tickets are priced at £37.50 pp. Book here.
