This artists hub, gallery and studio space is a well treasured artistic melting pot in the heart of the city of lights. Located on the famous Rue Rivoli, 59 Rivoli was originally an artist squat for artists needing a place to stay, show and live, now opened to the public six days a week patrons can have a free wonder through the different galleries and meet the artists themselves, either working the day away or musing with music and a glass of wine.
The artwork, like the artists, covers a wide array of styles and artworks and everything is available for acquisition. U may not find everything to your taste but U will definitely find a gem or two to take home.
This is a must for all art lovers and art seekers who love to bring that little something home that captured their heart and embodies the heart beat of a city they visited. And who knows, today’s French or visiting artist squatting at 59 Rivoli could be tomorrow’s Dali or Picasso…
Each Saturday and Sunday evening the venue also holds concerts ranging from pop to jazz to classical.
Furthermore, the six-story building is also child-friendly and visitors are encouraged to bring their children for a wonder after all the French are well aware that the best way to create tomorrow’s art lovers is to educate them young.
