Whistle Punks (who previously brought Bubble Football to London) deliver another innovation in social sports, urban axe throwing, a current craze that's being imported from Canada. U spend an hour and a half slinging an axe at a target, with instructors and safety briefings included. It's competitive, with scores gained by hitting a bullseye, much like darts, and it's in tournament format, similar to a tenpin bowling match with two teams competing together in a lane.
The set up is relaxed and social, with a back yard feeling to the venue. Entry is £30 pp for groups of up to eight people, £25 pp for larger groups, and the venue is open to the general public Thursday-Friday 6-10pm, and Saturday 2-8pm, with mid-week league play for the serious competitors.
