Harbour Hall

Armed with a new bar manager and a completely renovated dining room, the Ram's Head Inn is back and better than ever.

Sitting right on the waterfront, the classic Ram's Head Inn has been doing some work over the last off season to the tune of $20,000. This Shelter Island getaway now features a new bar and restaurant called the Harbour Hall, which features world-class cuisine from chef Joe Smith which focuses on local produce and is very seafood heavy, embracing the natural bounty of the region. Using the local terroir as inspiration, the style itself falls firmly into the New American category, allowing influences from around the world to shape delicate dishes bursting with flavour.

The space has had a complete make over as well, with updated decor featuring tables handmade by the owner himself, plus a brilliant new sound system and carefully arranged lighting. The space is more than just a restaurant - it houses weekly wine tastings and a raw bar as well.

The drinks are being looked after by mixologist Harry Brigham, who has worked in the Hamptons and New York City for the last several decades. He has put together a new list of craft cocktails featuring seasonal flavors whenever possible.
