James Beard Award winning author Jeni Britton Bauer, has expanded her Ohio-based business to Los Angeles with this scoop shop in Los Feliz.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams offers an eclectic mix of more than 20 different flavors ranging from extraordinary concoctions like whiskey & pecans and Riesling poached pear sorbet to upgraded traditional favorites like roasted strawberry buttermilk, cherries jubilee made with Luxardo cherries, pralines and cream, and two varieties of chocolate "darkest" and "milkiest."

Flavors rotate regularly, so if there isn't something on the signature menu, the limited edition menu will surely have something special for U to indulge in. And if U're feeling extra indulgent, try for one of the artfully composed sundaes, like the tin roof made up of vanilla bean ice cream smothered in extra-bitter hot fudge and roasted Virginia peanuts.
