This Jet Set club in the 8th arrondissement was once a famous Parisian bordello visited by the likes of Gainsbourg and the Count of Paris. The club was also immortalised in the celebrated French film Les Ripoux starring Philippe Noiret and Thierry Lhermitte during one of the film’s most comically memorable scenes.
In 2010 Chez Raspoutine was taken over by Gourcuff Laurent who sought to retain the establishment’s past history by safeguarding the decadent baroque decor of the Gainsbourg era, as well as the traditional Russian cabaret style seen in the film Le Ripoux.
Chez Rasputine offers live performances and a la carte traditional Russian dishes such as beef stroganoff or caviar until 23hr. After that, it’s DJ sets, dancing and champagne a la modern.
During Paris Fashion week the club also hosts a number of dinners for some of the city’s top designers. In November 2015, Rasputine celebrated its 50-year-long Parisian history.
