Willie Degel, the host of "Restaurant Stakeout" of the Food Network presents this restaurant in Astoria. Located in the former Square Hardware space, this farm-to-table steakhouse is a bit different than his existing Uncle Jack Steakhouse (Midtown & Bayside), with a strong focus on home-cooked style with a dry-ageing room on site, plus a speakeasy bar in the basement only accessible via a daily changing password.
While the menu have some of Degel's signature dishes available, such as the 24-ounce rib chop called the "Fred Flintstone", there are also lighter options, such as Spanish octopus & lobster tacos, salads and a whole charcuterie section. This aims to be more of a neighbourhood joint and less of a working lunch/destination spot.
