Ikinari Steak

Famous for their fast steak, this Japanese "Sudden Steak" is quick, delicious and well priced, if you don't mind eating whilst standing at high tables.

It sounds like the dream steak restaurant for someone who doesn't want to do the whole "wine & dine" number just to get a quality chop, but this Japanese import is a little different. The majority of tables are high counters where diners stand whilst eating, creating a rapid-fire meal at just the right price.

Keeping in line with the original concept, where they serve more than 500 customers a day, they sell their meat by the gram, narrowing down the experience to exactly what the guest wants with butchers on hand to prepare the meat right in front of guests. Another catch: the meat is only served rare, but the high quality makes it perfect at that temperature. The steaks are served on a sizzling cast iron platter plus, there is a wide selection of toppings and sauces to help personalize your dish.

This first US location has 10 seats and space for 50 to stand and eat.

Ideal For
