This popular outdoor ice rink is open (from November 12) all day and well into the evening, when you can skate to live DJs. Gourmet dining also returns at Chalet Suisse by Jimmy Garcia, providing the perfect post-skate treat at the pop-up alpine restaurant. Get into the festive spirit as Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland returns to London from 18 November. This free-to-enter family event includes a host of Christmas-themed activities, including Winter Wonderland ice skating, big top shows, an observation wheel and a huge Christmas market. Skate around the stunning ice rink, the UK's largest outdoor rink which circles the Victorian bandstand. Tickets from £10.50.
Take to the ice on Europe’s only rooftop rink as Skylight Tobacco Dock gets its annual makeover. Afterwards, settle into a heated outdoor area and snuggle under the blankets for a night of festive cocktails and Alpine-inspired grub. Sessions cost £15 for 45 minutes, and once you’re done on the ice, book in for the winter igloos and alpine huts and take in the incredible view over the capital’s skyline.

London’s only year round ice rink. Located on Queensway, Queens has been entertaining Londoners since the 1930s. The extensive vision combines 12 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, a (temperature controlled) ice rink and two bars all designed in an industrial, British-retro style. Cult burger restaurant MEATliquor is behind The Sin Bin, the UK's first rink-side skate up bar. Here you can get your skates on for an hour or two, or hit the ice for an intense bout of curling on Thursday & Friday nights.
