Coffeemania

The first branch outside of Russia, this Bryant Park restaurant features a menu from chef Titus Wang and locally roasted coffee.

If Moscow is one of your usual haunts, this restaurant with a coffee bent may feel incredibly familiar. The first branch of the Russian hospitality group to come to the US, this 100-seater spot on the edge of Bryant Park has pulled in Titus "Danny" Wang as executive chef. U might remember Wang from a few years ago when he was gracing lists like the Eater Young Guns and Zagat 30 Under 30 before going on to work at Delicatessen and Morimoto.

The menu is broad, encompassing mainly American flavours with a bit of an Asian influence and a few Russian classics featured as well. There are plenty of options to choose from with a slightly condensed lunch menu which has a cheeseburger and lamb burger available, while the dinner menu has a pasta menu with dishes like the Lobster Uni Carbonara with butter poached lobster, fettuccine, soy, red seaweed, and shiso. Other dishes available include Seared Duck Breast with honey crusted, pearl onions, red currant, and garlic pine nut emulsion.

Naturally coffee also is a main attraction of Coffeemania. Buying all their beans at auction with a special bean buyer, they then roast them in a roasting facility in Long Island City before coming to the restaurant to make expert lattes, cappuccinos and more, including one of their original creations, The Raf with whipped Half & Half, espresso, vanilla nd sugar.
