Greenwich Village has got a new pasta shop, and this one has the potentially to be really something special. Mark Ladner, who spent the past decade cooking over at NYC staple Del Posto, has opened a gluten-free pasta concept that will be fast, easy, and affordable.
We first had a hint at the new restaurant two years ago when Ladner ran a Kickstarted pop-up version so it stands to reason the chef has been putting some serious thought towards making this a success. The first location is be on 6tAvenueue between 13th & 14th streets, with plans already in the works to expand.
The concept is to be able to have traditional style pasta which is completely customizable from the type, the sauce, protein, garnish and more. Most importantly, these bowls of deliciousness are meant to be super quick, similar to the Japanese style of Ramen houses.
