Starting out as the product of two years of slinging popular Chinese street crepes at food markets and pop-ups around New York, Mr Bing now has two locations in midtown as well as this original one in Chelsea. Founder Brian Goldberg sought to evoke the memory of the street food culture he encountered as a student in Beijing by serving traditional Jianbing thin pancakes from Shandong province. to that end the mobile cart from which the business began still roams New York events.
