Scorpios

Sunset rituals and morning yoga make Scorpios Mykonos a go-to for U. Taking its inspiration from the “communal wisdom” of ancient Greek ancestry, Scorpios offers up a truly unique and distinctive experience. Flanked by two bays, ‘Kavos’ and ‘Paraga’, there's no shortage of sun, sea and sand at this “site for culture and meaningful interaction”. Expect to spend your days on their selection of beach beds and hammocks, shaded by wicker lamps and drystone walls. The festive energy of the later hours seemingly emerges from the sea as Yoruba priests and drummers, costumed in feather headdresses, announce the arrival of the night. Partnering with popular record labels (Platon Records, The Magic Movement, ZZK) expect a mix of resident DJs and Guests. Keep an eye on their upcoming 2017 calendar and make this a ‘must see’ this summer. 

Cavo Paradiso

Cited as the islands premier, out-of-town club, this slice of Mykonos vintage (established 1993) will never go out of date, even for the most experienced clubber. Characterized by one of Mykonos’ most intense summer schedules, expect back to back live events satisfying thousands of people year after year. Located towards the left of Paradise Beach, the dance floor overlooks the Aegean sea with a central pool designed in the shape of Mykonos. Having previously hosted DJs like Bob Sinclar, Kygo and David Guetta, we’re doubtful U will feel disappointed spending those precious small hours at this open-air, cliff-top megaclub. 

Nammos

Order a mixer of sound, sights and fireworks matched with a side of champagne at Nammos. Concerts and DJ sets accompany this established (ten years) excuse to spend countless summer nights on the island of Mykonos. With daily parties organized throughout the season, this ‘restaurant by day’ and ‘club by night’ is not out of place at its glamourous Psarou Beach-front location. 

JackieO’ Bar & Club

Resting right on the seawall of the Mykonos harbour, no trip to the island is complete without at least one drink at this famous all-day hotspot. Having reached an almost institutional status the, “wind, sun and sea form the backdrop” at this luxurious beach club. Centered around a stylised 25 metre long bar echoing traditional greek maritime design like Kaiki boats (a popular asset among many local fishermen), and built as a celebration of style icon and popular first lady Jackie Onassis, dive into the chic oversized pillows that adorn the day beds or request seclusion with a private area by the pool. 

Skandinavian bar Mykonos Island

Leading the nightlife of Mykonos since 1978, Scandinavian Bar is one of the best known social spaces on the island. Start your evening with good company and humbly priced cocktails accompanied by resident DJ ‘Ka’s’ nightly “discos” warming up the early hours of anyone's evening. Comprised of two open air service bars with an elevated outdoor patio, Skandinavian bar has grown to take up roughly an entire block in the heart of Mykonos’ old town. 

Scarpa Bar

Set in picturesque ‘Little Venice’ Scarpa captures the very essence of the island with its fine selection of cocktails and beautiful ocean-front views. 30 years ago, it was a rustic seaside Ouzeri, named after the former title of the area ‘carpa’. This small yet trendy establishment features a small lounge that opens up toward the later parts of the afternoon. Make sure U get there early for the best spots to watch those famous sunsets.
