Originally started by Danny Meyer, Eleven Madison Park has become something larger than itself with a global following of devout eaters, foodie tourists and the lucky ones who make it a special occasion spot. After 11 years of running the famous restaurant, owners chef Daniel Humm and Will Guidara will be briefly closing up shop for some cosmetic changes and joining the rest of New York in a pilgrimage to The Hamptons for the summer.
Sometime after the closure of the NYC mainstay on June 9th, EMP will unveil their pop-up inside a farmhouse with multiple areas including dining spaces in a tent, an outdoor area and of course, inside the farmhouse itself. The menu will be a touch more casual than what is normally served but it will still hold up the standard that Humm has become known for.
There is one very big catch, however - reservations are only available for those with an American Express card. In fact, that's the only form of payment accepted at the Summer House. Reservations available from May 1st.
