Food Bowl

Throughout the month of May, this new citywide food festival celebrates LA’s dynamic and influential food scene.

Organized by the Los Angeles Times, Food Bowl aims to promote social awareness about food waste and hunger. The Bowl hosts hundreds of events, with the centerpiece being Night Market, May 10-14 at Grand Downtown, which will feature 50 restaurants, bars and food trucks, as well as live entertainment.

Other highlights include an Evening with Magnus Nilsson, the famous chef from the world’s most remote restaurant 'Faviken' in the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden; Food for Soul Forum featuring chefs Massimo Bottura, Mario Batali, Roy Choi, Dominique Crenn, Mary Sue Milliken; and Beast Feast, with nose-to-tail experts including British chefs Fergus Henderson of London’s St John and April Bloomfield of New York City’s Spotted Pig.
