Poppy is the h.wood Group’s new surrealism nightclub venue in West Hollywood taking over the former STK space on La Cienega Boulevard.
Created by the team behind Bootsy Bellows, ShoreBar, Delilah, Peppermint Club and Blind Dragon, the whimsical concept (developed by John Terzian and designed by John Sofio of Built, Inc.) is billed as a “bohemian fantasy”. Upon entering it quickly transports U into an underlying stream of consciousness filled with a magical menagerie of characters from a storybook setting. There are mermaids, peacock poppies, garden gypsies and human animals.
Opening only one night a week, on Thursday from 10pm to 2am, Poppy features a private room with an exclusive bar, where celebrities are likely to shy away from the crowds.
