Café Charbon

Located on the popular Rue Oberkampf, Café Charbon has been attracting thirsty Parisians for over 100 years.

Dating from the Second Empire of Napoleon III, 1863 to be exact when the quarter was known an artisan, Café Charbon still manages to retain that old world charm as well as an ever faithful clientele.

Enter the cafe and travel back in time through red banquettes, tarnished mirrors, high ceilings, and wrought iron lamps liberated from an old fishing boat. But don't let appearance fool you, here people know how to party so expect DJs sets on weekends, playing everything from pop to electro.

The clientele made mostly out bohos and artists making it a great place to mingle with the locals as in the old days.
