Borrowing its name from the Italian word meaning, “break,” The Sosta’s focus is on whole, fresh, and authentic ingredients. Inspired by co-founder and executive chef Ali LaRaia’s travels through Italy and stopping roadside for a great coffee and inexpensive pasta, the restaurant is about offering great food at affordable prices. The menu features house-made fresh pastas and sauces, sandwiches, salads, antipasti boards, and sides. Next to fresh coffee and teas, there are beers and wine on tap and a few cocktails including the ‘Classico’ made with prosecco, cappelletti, soda, orange.
The 66-seat restaurant (40 indoors, 20 along the outdoor patio) was designed in collaboration with London-based firm Alexander Waterworth and focuses on coastal Italy, with an upscale, yet casual airy vibe. Anchoring the space is the main counter, where guests place their orders, which features a custom pastel pink terrazzo countertop and a pink neon sign reading “Mangiamo Baby!” (“Let’s Eat, Baby!”)
