Gallow Green

Perched atop The McKittrick Hotel, rooftop bar Gallow Green has performed a swift costume change and transformed into cosy Scottish cabin The Lodge, in time for the coming winter.

The McKittrick Hotel (which is not really a hotel, but formerly the 1990s nightclub Bed) has long played host to Sleep No More, the immersive adaptation of Macbeth, and if you wanted to continue the theatrics, or just have a really great drink is a gorgeous setting, you headed upstairs to rooftop bar Gallow Green.

The bewitching outdoor bar boasts gorgeous decor, with vintage train tracks and boxcars, lush greenery, live jazz music and, like the sprawling Sleep No More set that lives below, an ethereal, haunting old-world ambiance. The terrace - named after the Scottish field where accused witches were hanged - and is the setting for Punchdrunk's immersive theatre. Wisteria climbs up trellises, creating green tunnels leading to rustic tables and an antique railcar. Feast on tuna crudo or an artisanal cheese board, and pair it with one of their seasonal cocktails.
