Danny Meyer’s newest spot is a traditional Roman coffee bar at The Redbury Hotel, where his Roman pizzeria, Marta, is also located.
Caffe Marchio is a counter-service caffe with a focus on the food and beverage making the act of drinking a cup of coffee a grand occasion. The menu features all the traditional coffee concoctions U might expect and then some. Try the shakerato, a shot of espresso poured over ice cubes and simple syrup, then shaken until frothy. The café makes all of its drinks with a single coffee blend that’s based on the heavily roasted, dark style found in Rome’s coffee shops, which was created for them by Joe Coffee.
The menu ranges from breakfast pastries to lunchtime sandwiches and pizzas.
The interior features high ceilings, brass-colored stone, metal, and gallery walls.
