Unpretentious, packed, and swimming in wine, we just can't get enough of Le Baron Rouge.

This wine den is packed floor to ceiling with wine bottles and barrels. Seen as a blue collar bar, there is no pretence here on wine. Indeed some of the locals even bring their own empty bottles as refilling it from the barrels is cheaper. Nevertheless, the wine selection is rather top with an array of French brands from the popular to the lesser known. 

Baron Rouge also offers a dining option but let's be serious most people come here for the wine. 

Just be warned, if you arrive for after-work drinks you may have trouble squeezing to the bar area and may have to spill out into the street with the rest of the Parisians, but then again it's all part of the experience.
