Rice & Gold

The long-awaited restaurant in the Hotel 50 Bowery from the chef Dale Talde and his partners, Dave Massoni and John Bush, is now open.

Located on the groundfloor, the restaurant is the second venture from the Three Kings Restaurant Group within the hotel after the rooftop bar the Crown, which opened in the summer.

Dedicated to Asian American flavors, with nods to other international influences such as Mexico and Bangladesh, this is the perfect place to grab some modern dim sum in a beautiful setting. Breakfast items like Vietnamese pho, Chinese dumplings and Korean bibimbap, all bearing Top Chef alum Talde’s personal touch, will delight U.

Street art serves as the focal point for the 180-seat dining room, while the restaurant’s 11-seat bar is accented with a golden installation inspired by grain silos used to house rice, inspiring the name. A graffiti mural from locally based artist Mr. Ewok One spans the entire length of the restaurant and sets the tone for the aesthetic.
