Michelin Guide 2019

The 2019 Michelin Guide New York City has been released, and the French gastronomy guide has awarded two stars to late French chef Joël Robuchon's L'Atelier.

Overall the guide has elevated three restaurants to two-star status and 13 establishments to one-star.

Next to Robuchon's L'Atelier, Gabriel Kreuther and Ichimura at Uchū have gained two stars.

The one-star list has seen new additions such as Atomix (pictured), offering a Korean tasting menu. Brooklyn has gained two additions, with Claro and Oxomoco, a Williamsburg dining room specializing in wood-fired Mexican cuisine, gaining stars. And finally French favourite Le Coucou also gained its well deserved Michelin star.

The 2019 Michelin guide to New York includes 76 starred restaurants, up from 72 last year (and slightly down from 77 in the 2017 guide).

At the very top level of three stars, New York has not seen any changes. Manhattan continues to boast five three-star restaurants: Le BernardinMasaEleven Madison Park, Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare, and Per Se
