Bulgari Resort Dubai

The luxury brand adds another star to the city's glittering hotel lineup with this hot opening.

Marking the fifth hotel in the group, this urban resort is the first to boast an address on the seahorse-shaped Jumeirah Bay island. With just 101 rooms and suites, plus 20 private villas, the uber-stylish resort combines the intimate feel of a luxury island home, with the city's buzz a short distance away.

Designed by Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel - who do all the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts - the property oozes understated sophistication with contemporary lines, accented by maritime-inspired touches, amidst a Mediterranean-esque setting. "Created with the same detail and precision of a Bulgari jewel", the hotel has been built and furnished using the finest materials down to the very last details, including Italian marble, and pieces from luxury furniture brands such as Maxalto, Flos, Fexform.

F&B offerings include Il Ristorante by Niko Romito, where the Michelin-starred chef has curated the menu to serve up Italian culture with modern simplicity. The adjacent Il Bar looks set to become the ultimate sundowner spot in the city with its Arabian Gulf views, while Il Cafe is the lobby dining outlet offering a casual take on Italian flavours. There's also an Il Cioccolato boutique, where you can find chocolate creations, plus designer shopping.

The hotel is home to a private beach, La Spiaggia, with luxury cabanas, a children's club and beachside dining; a 1,700 sqm Bulgari Spa which features its own 25-metre indoor pool; and a state-of-the-art fitness centre offering the Workshop Gymnasium training method.

And in a world first for the Bulgari group, it also houses the Bulgari Marina & Yacht Club - a 50-boat harbour with its own hospitality offerings including the seafood-focused Yacht Club Italian Restaurant; a members lounge; outdoor pool and bar; and a kids' club.
