My Perfect Day - Claudia Lambeth

Business empress and Urbanologist Claudia Lambeth founder, CEO and creative visionary behind Luna Mae London bespoke lingerie, reveals her favourite hangouts and hotspots, giving U an insight into her 'Perfect Day'...

How do you start your day?

Radio 6 in the morning with an Earl Grey tea. I do wake up pretty early and try to do a yoga class or go for a little run. There is something quite special about being out before the rest of the world is awake and running gives me great headspace to reflect on the day ahead. I find it always ends up filling me with energy and excitement about what I might have in store for that day.

Leisurely lunch go to?

I just opened our flagship store on Elizabeth Street in Belgravia and we are spoilt for choice for lunch in the surrounding area. I am a big fan of Granger & Co and like to sit upstairs in their Pavilion Road location. The food is always delicious and it feels indulgent, even though you know it’s pretty healthy. Thomas Cubitt is also fantastic and the staff are always very friendly.

Favourite way to pass the time in London?

It’s very rare that I have time to pass in London but when I do, I love to explore the antique markets along Portobello and gaze at all the beautiful multi-coloured houses. When I am not rushing somewhere, I really like to walk to different areas because sometimes travelling underground, you forget how close everything is. I purposely won’t use Google Maps as I like to explore new roads I’ve never walked down before and find hidden treasures in the City.

Favourite London landmarks, and why?

I moved to Notting Hill at the end of the summer and have really enjoyed walking through Hyde Park to get to work. I actually never really spent much time in Hyde Park before and loved discovering all the different sculptures dotted around. I also will always have an affinity for Buckingham Palace with how impressive it is as a London landmark and what it represents as a building. I feel very lucky to live in London with such rich heritage that you can experience every day.

Tipple of choice and favourite cocktail hangout?

I love a good Gin & Tonic and recently discovered Salcombe Gin which is from the town I used to spend all my summers as a child. My London favourite cocktail bar is 69 Colebrooke Row in Islington - completely unassuming and a little treat when you get inside.

Favourite dining destinations, and why?

The food scene in London is brilliant as there is so much fantastic choice. Hix Soho for its delicious quality British food and being able to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail downstairs in Mark’s bar. I also love Popolo in Shoreditch for its intimate dining experience and being able to watch the chefs making beautiful tapas right before your eyes. And Padella in Borough Market for the best handmade pasta in London.

Final stop for a nightcap, and why?

The Groucho Club as it never fails to have the best atmosphere and a fantastic collection of interesting people who definitely come alive late at night.

Rest hangover remedy?

A hot Yin yoga class at Yoga Haven on Pentonville Road. It’s the absolute dream and they have the nicest teachers who make you feel amazing.

Where next on your travels?

I’m going on shooting trip to Ireland for the weekend soon which I am really looking forward to. I even have a fancy new pair of outdoor boots to get muddy(!). I definitely spend my weekdays non-stop running around London so I love to escape to the countryside at the weekend and fill my lungs with some fresh air and enjoy beautiful views.
