Charc

Danny Brown, the chef and restaurateur who held a Michelin star at his eponymous former restaurant in Queens, has turned his X Bar Bistro into a wine bar serving plates of charcuterie, cheese and sandwiches.

The tiny spot on the Upper East Side seats just 25 guests, providing an intimate dining experience, perfect for a cozy date.

The menu is focused on charcuterie, with most cured meats prepared in house, as well as a selection of cheeses and sandwiches including the FB&J, Brown’s take on the PB&J with foie gras butter and apple jelly. There’s even a tasting menu called the Kitchen Sink, and the drinks list includes a decent variety of wines by the glass.
