Sarkar’s career has taken him to London, India, Dubai, San Francisco and now New York. He’s developed a unique and inventive take on Indian cuisine, offering contemporary dishes, using modernist cooking techniques. Baar Baar, which means “again and again,” offers a menu that is a mix of traditional and contemporary Indian food, with a selection of small plates, assorted mixed thali platters and bigger dishes.

The new restaurant is housed in the former L’Apicio space and features a colorful interior with a mural of an Indian woman covered in jewelry taking center stage.
