Brooklyn Cider House

New York City’s first ever cider-centric restaurant and bar in Brooklyn has a new summer menu.

Brooklyn Cider House is inspired by the cider houses in Spain’s Basque country and promises to deliver an interactive and communal dining and cider tasting experience.

Offering a range of different ciders straight from the barrels and tanks, as they do in Spain, the venue serves its own line of five ciders produced in upstate New York as well as a range of New York state ciders and wines and apple-focused spirits, such as Calvados, Pomal and Applejack.

Brooklyn Cider House is now expanding its dinner menu by adding some delicious summer items to its four-course prix-fixe, including a grilled wild-caught Whole Red Snapper with garlic oil; Arroz Con Almejas, a Basque-style clam risotto, made with bomba rice from Valencia and fresh littleneck clams; Summer Tomato Salad with tomatoes fresh from the garden at their Twin Star Orchards Upstate NY; Kale and Roasted Beet Salad with orange citrus dressing; Bread Pudding with candied pecans, and Apple Fritters à la mode with housemade apple cider syrup.

The 12,000-square-foot former warehouse in Bushwick has an industrial feel, warmed with plenty of wood. There are three dining areas and communal tables as well as a large bar area in the and two cider rooms in the back.
