Located in Carroll Gardens, the food at this intimate, 20-seat restaurant aims to offer a truly authentic Thai experience, with flavors inspired by the cuisines from around the South East Asian country.
The menu features dishes like tom som pla kra pong, central-syle red snapper with ginger and tamarind; kang hoh, northern-style pork shoulder with red curry paste, spare ribs, and mungbean noodles, and kua kling southern-style beef shank curry, described as “brutally spicy”. Most dishes come accompanied by a plate of raw vegetables to offset the spice.
Aside from its name, there’s nothing ugly about this authentic Thai restaurant – unless U can’t handle the heat.
