If U have a sweet tooth, this Lower East Side Japanese dessert shop is the place for U.

The Little One is offering traditional Japanese desserts with comforting cups of tea and malted hot chocolate.

The Little One is indeed a small space with just five tables in a minimalistic space. Headed up by pastry chef duo Olivia Leung and Eddie Zheng, who have spent time working with Dominique Ansel, The Little One goes big on flavor and presentation. The menu is focused on Japanese desserts and drinks, with inventive desserts, using interesting flavor combinations.

Try the monaka ice cream sandwiches, made with wafer shells, parsnip ice cream and toasted buckwheat groats, or coconut condensed shaved ice cream topped with dehydrated peppermint marshmallow.

Drinks continue in like vein, with deliciously indulgent malted hot chocolate made with 72 percent Guittard cacao and flavored with cardamomand topped with a toasted marshmallow.
