This beautiful structure, was designed by starchitect Jean Nouvel, commissioned by Former French President Jacque Chirac, and houses works from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.
Bearing the name of the former French president that commissioned its creation, the museum opened its doors in 2006 to great critical acclaim.
The structure is simply breathtaking, which is no surprise having been designed by the master of architecture Jean Nouvel. While the art works on display can best be described as a treasure journey around the globe under one roof.
This is not your typical classical museum, this is a museum for the 21st Century and an artistic must for our Parisian list.
