Quoz Arts Fest

The city's favourite art/culture/food/music festival is back at Al Serkal Avenue on the weekend of January 26-27.

This year's edition of Quoz Arts Fest is set to be a family-friendly celebration of home grown artists and creators, with a focus on an interactive dance programme, all of it underpinned by a community spirit - even pets are welcome!

Running through Friday and Saturday, the two-day event will feature craft workshops and talks; themed gallery tours; a pop-up bookstore; film screenings; the Art Shop, offering affordable art for sale from several participating galleries; and kids' activities such as interactive storytelling sessions. Other highlights include meet-and-greet with renowned lithography artist El Seed at his studio (all weekend long), and an acapella performance by Tehran Vocal Ensemble (8pm on Saturday 27).

A selection of food trucks and carts will serve up everything from burgers and tacos to artisanal coffees, in a lively, vibrant atmosphere enhanced by buskers performing original compositions and open-air jam sessions, and dance performances curated by Sima Performing Arts (some of them involving audience interaction). There will also be a market with locally made products for sale, and pop-up boutiques offering unique shopping options.

Quoz Arts Fest is open from 10am-8pm, free entry, full programme is available online (see listed website).
