Originally built in the 1920s, Giannini Place’s gold and blue Italianate lobby ceiling has been fully restored and serves as inspiration throughout the Jacques Garcia designed hotel.
The NoMad Los Angeles features 241 rooms and suites, plus 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a rooftop pool and gathering space overlooking Downtown.
As in New York, NoMad has collaborated with Eleven Madison Park duo Daniel Humm and Will Guidara on the restaurants, which are their first outside of Manhattan. Expect all-day dining in the Lobby, a Venetian-style café experience in the Coffee Bar, proprietary cocktails from sLeo Robitschek at the Giannini Bar, receptions on the rooftop, and even a food truck, which the team used to promote the complex last fall.
The most formal dining option, the Mezzanine overlooks the hustle and bustle of the entrance of the hotel. Here the menu will include pan-roasted duck with apples and chicories; a fruits de mer seafood tower; and the famous roast chicken for two with black truffle and brioche stuffing.
