Brought to Dubai by art and cultural development company Alpha Soul, the unique exhibition will feature lithographs, photographs and original Dali paintings sourced from private collections around the world. Guest-curated by Nicolas Descharnes, an international expert and author on Dali, the exhibition will also include pieces from the ‘50 years after surrealism’ collection, as well as Dali’s renowned ‘Memories of Surrealism’ collection in which his interpretation of Spanish printmaker Francisco Goya’s 'Los Caprichos' will be displayed alongside the original, in order to fully appreciate Dali’s surrealist makeover of the artwork.
Also on exhibit will be photographs of the Spanish artist, taken by close friend Robert Descharnes, which show him in an intimate light - curated by none other than Robert's son and another Dali expert, Nicolas Descharnes. Together with appearances by guest speaker Frank Hunter, a world-renowned Dali scholar and Director of the Salvador Dalí Archives, this is set to be one of the most comprehensive insights into the iconic artist's life and works, in the world.
Viewing hours are 1pm-10pm on weekdays, and 10am-10pm on weekends.
